Kyushu Brewing & Photography

This week I spent some time uniting my love for Japanese green tea and table top photography.

I have a collection of kyusus or Japanese brewing pots. They range in a variety of sizes (capacity) shape and color. With all teas, one should consider the tea type, region (prefecture), cultivar, elevation, time of harvest, and leaf shape in determining which particular Kyushu should be selected.

This week I photographed my favorite 玉光 Gyokko Kiln - Flat Matsugawa Kokudei Tokoname-yakiKyusu) and brewed some rather amazing deep steamed greens from Obubu Farms and Ocha and Co. (Heavenly Drop Gyokuro and Fukamushi respectively) ナマステ
